GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Assists in supervising the operation of several parking field areas and maintains and repairs meters; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the use of judgment in accounting for money and assisting in the supervision of subordinates and skill in maintaining and repairing small mechanical devices.

TYPICAL DUTIES
*1.Assists in supervising and working with assigned personnel engaged in routine maintenance and repair work, and in making improvements on fields, buildings, and adjacent grounds.
2.Collects, counts, and deposits money from parking meters.
*3.Performs inspections to assure proper operation of parking field areas, cleanliness of areas, and compliance with rules and regulations.
4.Cleans, adjusts, and repairs meters and replaces worn parts.
*5.Maintains daily record of cars parked, rates paid, collection receipts, and meter violations.
6.Issues overtime parking notices.
7.Maintains stock and distributes supplies necessary for daily operation of parking field areas.

*TYPICAL ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of mechanical operation of various types of parking meters or other small mechanical or electromechanical devices.
2.Ability to supervise work of parking field personnel assigned to assist in mechanical and routine maintenance work.
3.Ability to make simple arithmetic computations.
4.Ability to maintain accurate records.
5.Ability to make mechanical repairs and perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks.
6.Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from high school
and
Two years of satisfactory experience in the maintenance and repair of parking meters.

NOTE: Satisfactory experience in the repair of small mechanical or electromechanical devices may be substituted for the two-year requirement on a year-for-year basis.
