GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, performs one or more functions in operating and maintaining a public beach and recreational facilities; performs related work as required.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Regulates traffic and parking on beach approaches and parking lots; checks beach passes and collects admission fees.
2.Cleans beach grounds of refuse, cleans dressing rooms, showers and rest rooms; issues locker keys and receives deposits.
3.Performs minor repairs in maintaining beach installations; assists in restoring and maintaining a variety of beach facilities.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Elementary knowledge of bathing beach operation and maintenance.
2.Knowledge of beach safety regulations.
3.Ability to keep simple records.
4.Ability to give information and issue simple instructions in dealing with patrons of public facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
1.One year of experience as an attendant or guard for a public facility;
or,
2.Graduation from elementary school;
or,
3.Satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
