GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Operates light motor vehicles for the transportation of persons or materials; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require limited judgment and the exercise of care and consideration in operating motor vehicles.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Operates passenger cars, pickup or panel trucks, station wagons, small buses or other light motor vehicles.
2.Services and makes minor repairs on vehicles.
3.Assists in helping or carrying disabled individuals or patients to and from vehicles.
4.Picks up and delivers miscellaneous supplies and equipment.
5.Performs other duties when not operating or maintaining vehicles.
6.Transports valuable materials, as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Ability to operate light motor vehicles with care and good judgment.
2.Ability to service and make minor repairs on vehicles.
3.Ability to follow oral instructions.
4.Ability to learn the routes within area of operation.
5.Ability to safeguard funds and other valuable materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Completion of eighth grade education.

Necessary Special Requirement
Continuing possession of an appropriate class driver's license issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
