GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Gathers information within the community concerning problems with street lighting, sidewalk repairs, traffic, garbage pick-up, building code violations, and other related areas, and informs the proper Town department; assists in enforcing various Town codes and regulations; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the use of independent judgment in dealing with community residents, some of whom may be irate.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Elicits information concerning problems in the community.
2.Ascertains facts about these complaints.
3.Provides information gathered to appropriate department.
4.Assists in enforcing the various Town codes relating to zoning, illegal dumping, garbage clean-up, abandoned vehicles, and other similar regulations.
5.Informs community of steps being taken by Town to address problems.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Considerable knowledge of community organizations.
2.Ability to relate to community residents.
3.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with residents and Town officials and employees.
4.Ability to understand and interpret Town regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from high school.

Necessary Special Requirement
Possession of an appropriate class, valid Driver's License issued by the State of New York.
