2. | Removes staples and other temporary bindings on documents, assembles them into proper order, and places them into a hand press prior to gluing. |
3. | Sews all sections by hand stitching, applies glue, and trims to size by use of power paper cutter. |
4. | Performs wire stitching, cutting, and punching operations. |
5. | Measures books and cuts cover boards and their cloth covers to size. |
6. | Sets type by hand for gold and ink lettering. |
7. | Performs routine maintenance and makes simple repairs and adjustments on all bookbinding equipment. |
8. | Assists in supervising subordinate personnel, as required. |
