2. | Reviews reports on appraisals completed by others for technical accuracy and validity of conclusions. |
3. | Determines need for additional evidence or documents to complete settlements for property damages and/or condemnation. |
4. | Recommends condemnation settlements and advises on subsequent appeals. |
5. | Instructs subordinate personnel on appraisal techniques. |
1. | Extensive knowledge of the methods and techniques of real property appraisal. |
2. | Extensive knowledge of the applicable laws and regulations governing condemnation of property and the settlement of claims for damages. |
3. | Ability to evaluate the work of others performing appraisals of property. |
4. | Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental personnel. |
5. | Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. |
1. | Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State recognized college or university and Ten years of satisfactory experience in real estate involving sale, acquisition, appraisal, and other related real estate matters; or |
2. | Satisfactory equivalent combination of training and experience. |
