4. | Removes, disassembles, inspects, repairs, adjusts, reassembles, installs, or replaces all aircraft engines, components and systems and parts. |
5. | Performs schedules maintenance work at the main base of operation and unscheduled maintenance work wherever needed. |
6. | Installs, connects, and adjusts fuel, electrical and hydraulic systems. |
7. | Maintains records and prepares requisitions for equipment, tools, and parts. |
1. | Thorough knowledge of aviation mechanics and of the equipment, tools, materials, supplies, methods, and procedures used in maintaining and repairing helicopters and aircraft. |
2. | Considerable skill in the care and use of tools and equipment for repairing and maintaining aircraft. |
3. | Ability to analyze and diagnose the cause or nature of aircraft malfunction. |
4. | Ability to develop appropriate aircraft maintenance schedules. |
5. | Ability to perform difficult repair, installations, and maintenance work on aircraft. |
