*1. Assists in developing effective and economic combinations of equipment for power generation. |
*2. Assists in coordinating operating schedules. |
*3. Assists in assigning, supervising, evaluating, and coordinating the work of subordinate supervisors and skilled technicians. |
4. Recommends the issuance of requisitions for materials; issues work orders. |
*5. Maintains records and prepares reports of plant operations. |
1. | Thorough knowledge of the theories and principles of electrical and mechanical engineering and their application to power generation. |
2. | Thorough knowledge of the methods and techniques used in the operation and maintenance of a power generating plant. |
3. | Ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinate supervisory and technical personnel. |
4. | Ability to assist in the development of cost-effective plans for power generation. |
5. | Ability to read and interpret technical plans and diagrams essential to the operation of a power plant. |
6. | Ability to maintain records and prepare reports. |
NOTE: | Experience, as outlined above, in excess of the five-year requirement, may be substituted for college education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of four years, provided that if any college education is to be evaluated it must include courses in the above engineering or engineering technology fields. |
