| 1. | Assists in planning, assigning, and supervising workers and the operation of equipment engaged in the maintenance and repair of roads, shoulders, bridges, culverts, drain and pipe lines, catch basins and other related structures. |
| 2. | Operates highway equipment as necessary and performs skilled and unskilled labor duties as required. |
| 3. | Supervises subordinates engaged in manual tasks. |

| 1. | Graduation from elementary school and one year of experience in construction, maintenance or repair of roads, sewers, parks or water systems; or |
| 2. | Satisfactory equivalent combination of training and experience. |
