GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Assists in supervising subordinates engaged in the maintenance and repair of parks; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties involve the routine supervision of manual workers and equipment operators.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Assists in supervising and planning the work assigned to laborers and equipment operators on a daily basis.
2.Assists in inspecting locations to determine work priorities and work accomplished.
3.Assists in the instruction and training of subordinate personnel.
4.Performs minor maintenance tasks in such trades as carpentry, electrical repair, plumbing, etc., and general field maintenance.
5.Assists in requisitioning materials, supplies, and equipment, as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of the methods and techniques used in the maintenance and repair of parks and park facilities.
2.Knowledge of the tools and equipment used for maintaining park facilities.
3.Ability to learn to plan, assign, and supervise the work of manual workers and equipment operators.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from elementary school
and
One year of satisfactory experience in the repair and maintenance of parks and park facilities.
