GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Supervises activity at the docks, piers, bulkheads structures and parking areas at an assigned section of waterfront; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Duties are performed under general supervision.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Enforces rules and regulations regarding the use of waterfront facilities.
2.Checks to ensure that only authorized individuals use facilities.
3.Supervises and directs the proper launching of boats.
4.Maintains area in a clean and safe condition.
5.Reports unsafe or unusual conditions.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the use of waterfront facilities.
2.Knowledge of boats and boat traffic rules.
3.Some knowledge of the maintenance and care of equipment used at waterfront facilities.
4.Ability to give simple instructions.
5.Ability to keep simple records.
6.Ability to perform light manual labor.
7.Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
1.No formal education requirement.
2.Employees in this class may be required to possess some prior experience in similar work.
